Clinical Pharmacology Trials (CNS/Neurology Populations)
The Thievon-Wright network includes clinical pharmacology clinics, focused on conducting simple and highly-complex trials in subjects with a variety of psychiatric and neurologic disorders.
As a result of the research industry’s need to identify signals much earlier in the drug development process, many of our sites were encouraged by our clients to expand their outpatient clinics to include inpatient capacity. Careful consideration was given to the design of each of our units and trained research professionals were recruited to manage the daily operations at each site. We have been successful in the shift to early phase research because we have been very selective in the placement of these trials; recommending only the right sites, at the right time.
Our experience spans the entire spectrum of Psychiatric disorders including, but not limited to:
- Anxiety Disorders
- Depressive Disorders
- Bipolar Disorder
In addition, our Neurology experience includes:
- Alzheimer’s Disease
- Pain Disorders
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Tourette’s Syndrome
- Restless Leg Syndrome
- Multiple Sclerosis
A unique aspect of our network is the ability to conduct clinical pharmacology and inpatient trials in pediatric and adolescent populations.
Our Clinical Pharmacology and Inpatient Trials have varied in complexity and have included Pharmacokinetic/Pharmacodynamic (PK/PD), Food Effect, Bioequivalence, Thorough QT/QTc (TQT), Abuse Liability, Polysomnography (PSG), Electroencephalography (EEG), Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Serial and Continuous Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) Sampling, and Asian Bridging trials.
